Listen to the Word

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. (Colossians 3:12)

The second piece of the Christian’s relational wardrobe is kindness. Kindness is basically compassion with feet. It is more than something you feel - it is something you do. Kindness is a meal delivered, a flat tire fixed, a free night of childcare, a hug, a listening ear. When I am kind, I choose to make your problem my problem, and I meet a practical need. God calls us to clothe ourselves with kindness.
