Current Ministry needs

Below is a list of our current needs. If you'd like to volunteer to help out in any of these areas, please click on the title to email the appropriate ministry. If you have any questions, please fill out the form below.

Greeter

BE A GREETER! We are rebuilding our Hospitality Team and are looking for people to greet those coming into the church with a warm welcome! All it requires is: showing up 15 minutes prior to the service, hold the door open for folks entering, help them find a mask if needed, help them find a seat if necessary, and let them know how glad we are that they are here. If you would like to be a part of this team, email Tanya in the church office, or call 816-525-0700.

Worship

Make a joyful noise! We are always looking for talented singer and musicians to join in our choirs and worship team. If this is an area you'd like to learn more about please contact the office at 816-525-0700 or email Lee Barnett at lee.b@firstls.church.

Kids Ministry

How do I volunteer?

Where there is a need, there is a way...a way to help! We would love to have you join us in serving our community in whatever way God is calling you to. For more information about ways to help you can call us at 816-525-0700 or email us at office@firstls.church.

How do I volunteer with kids?

When it comes to kids, sometimes it takes a village. If you'd like to be a part of helping our awesome kids you can contact our office or email Rachel at rachel.e@firstls.church for preschoolers, or Kimberley at kimberley.m@firstls.church for K-5th grade.

How do I volunteer with music?

Do you have a special set of skills...with instruments? We'd love to hear it! If you'd like to find out how to join in our worship or want more information you can contact the office at 816-525-0700 or email Lee Barnett at lee.b@firstls.church.

How do I volunteer with students?

We have the coolest students in Lee's Summit. Don't believe us? Come take a look for yourself! If you'd like to be a part of First Students (6th-12th grade) please call the office or email our youth minister Matt Parker at matt.p@firstls.church.
