Listen to the Word

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

God’s third fear-busting promise in Isaiah 41:10 is this: “I will strengthen you.” That is a remarkable assurance. The all-powerful Creator wants to loan you some of his strength.

Imagine an empty glove. It is a weak and useless thing. All it can do is sit on a shelf. But a glove with a hand in it – that has some strength. A glove with a hand can accomplish a lot. Likewise, you alone don’t have the strength to handle much. But you, filled with the strength of Almighty God, are capable of great things.

Don’t be afraid, for he will strengthen you!

Live the Word

Admit to God that your strength is not adequate for the challenges you face, and ask him to follow through on this promise to fill you with his strength.
