Listen to the Word

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.  (Psalm 96:3)

Notice that it is our job to declare God’s glory to all kinds of people in all kinds of places. The command in Psalm 96:3 obliterates any ethnic or geographic limitations we might place on our obligation. We can’t get away with simply sharing with people we like, or people who are like us. God’s love stretches to each person on the planet, and so does our responsibility.

Other well known Scriptures point in the same direction. John 3:16 reminds us that God so loved the entire world. The Great Commission calls us to make disciples of all nations. Jesus’ challenge in Acts 1:8 is to brag about him to the ends of the earth.

God wants everybody everywhere to know about him. And he wants us to tell them!

Live the Word

Intentionally reach across a relational boundary today. Be kind to someone who is different from you.
