Listen to the Word

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.   (Psalm 107:1)

“Give thanks.” That is an interesting way to word that command. Not just, “Say ‘thanks,’” but “give thanks.” “Thanks” is something we give. It is a gift.

You recognize what a gift “thanks” can be when you receive it. It can make your day when someone shows appreciation for something you have done.

Psalm 107 challenges us to give God the gift of “thanks” – to praise him for how good he is, and for how indestructible his love is.

Live the Word

On this Thanksgiving Day, give God the gift of “thanks.” Tell him a long list of things you appreciate about him.
