Listen to the Word

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”  (Romans 8:28)

This week, we will explore one of the biggest promises in the whole Bible. Romans 8:28 assures us that, no matter what happens, God is at work for our good.

God is much more than a distant observer of your situation. He is not sitting on his hands up in heaven, just letting life happen to you. He is not leaving you on your own to sink or swim in the deep water in which you find yourself. He is compassionate enough to care about your challenges, and strong enough to do something about them. And he is active. He is involved. He is getting his hands dirty.

Live the Word

Write down Romans 8:28 and place it somewhere that you will see it often throughout the week. Ask God to reassure you of the truth of this promise every day.
