Listen to the Word

…Love is kind... (1 Corinthians 13:4)

The world says love is something you FEEL - it makes your heart race, your stomach turn flips, and your insides turn to goo. God says love is something you DO. It expresses itself in kind actions that you perform for others. Love is sharing your umbrella. It is offering a listening ear. Love is wiping a child’s nose a hundred times a day and reading the same book to him for the hundredth time. Love is giving a lift to someone who doesn’t have a car. It is paying a compliment to a discouraged co-worker or giving a big tip to a frazzled waitress. Love makes somebody else’s problem your problem. Love is kind.

Live the Word

Ask God to bring someone to mind who needs to experience love today. Make a plan to do a specific, kind action for that person today.
