Listen to the Word
Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing. (Isaiah 40:26)
Consider the “great power and mighty strength” required to create our sun. Every second of every day and night, the sun creates 13 million times more energy than the entire population of the United States uses in an entire year. How much energy must the One who created that sun possess? And our sun is just one average star among the billions of stars he created in our galaxy, which is just one of the billions of galaxies he made. The One who created and ignited all those stars is incomprehensibly strong. He is the Mighty God!
Live the Word
Let the sun be your cue to ponder God’s power today. Each time you notice its rays, praise God for his infinite strength.
