Listen to the Word

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. (Isaiah 40:29)

God is a giver, and he wants to give you the gift of strength.

Today’s Scripture hits the bullseye with a one-word diagnosis of our condition: “weary.” We face a continual onslaught of rush hour traffic, fast food, high speed connectivity, and other features of our hurry-up world, and we are worn out.

You need strength. And you won’t find it in another cup of coffee. God has all the power you need, and he longs to give it to you.

Ask God to give you his strength for the challenges before you today. Throughout the day, remember that you must rely on him for the power you need.
