Listen to the Word
If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king. But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up. (Daniel 3:17-18)
The Bible calls us to live a daring life of faith. It challenges us to embrace a radical, edge of your seat, full throttle, water-walking, death-defying life. But most of us settle for a tame, socially acceptable, risk-free variation of a relationship with God that bears very little resemblance to the extreme faith we see described in Scripture. We settle for a comfortable, decaf, play it safe version of “faith.”
Isn’t there something deep down in you that yearns for more? Do you wonder what would happen if you took off the training wheels and went full speed after God? For the next two weeks, we will explore two Biblical stories that challenge us to trust God recklessly and live a life of adventure with him.
Live the Word
Ask God to help you trust him. Ask him to help you trust him a lot - enough to do whatever he calls you to do, no matter how reckless it may seem.
