Listen to the Word
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:11-13)
We will spend the week reflecting on the remarkable words of God found in Jeremiah 29:11-13. There, God announces that he has a plan for your life. He didn’t create you and set you in the world and say, “I wonder what will happen to this one. This should be interesting to watch.” When you arrived, God said, “I’ve got big plans for this one!” He has a particular outcome in mind for your life. He formed you with that goal in mind, and he works in your circumstances to achieve that goal. Think about that - the God of the universe doesn’t see you as just a face in the crowd of billions of people on the planet. He knows you personally, and he has specific plans for you.
