Listen to the Word

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.  (James 1:17)

God is the source of every good thing we have. That includes the gifts listed in Scripture that we have explored for the last two weeks, such as strength, peace, wisdom, a new heart, and eternal life. But that also includes sunsets and chocolate milkshakes and your family and the money in your pocket and the oxygen you just inhaled. The only reason you have any of it is because he is generous and he loves to give. If it is good, it is from God.
