Listen to the Word

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9)

You look at your circumstances and see dozens of dangerous landmines ready to explode. You look in the mirror and see a hundred ugly flaws. You look at your calendar and see a thousand scary “what ifs.” You have more than enough reasons to be afraid and discouraged.

You have only one reason to be strong and courageous: because the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. And that is enough.

Wherever you go, God will be with you. Whatever you face, God will face it with you.

Each time you begin to feel worry or fear today, ask God to remind you of his presence with you.
