Listen to the Word

Serve one another in love. (Galatians 5:13)

The New Testament is full of “one another” commands - God’s guidelines for how he wants us to treat other folks in his family. Each day this week we will examine a different one of these “one another” instructions.

Today’s Scripture is a reminder that God wants you to serve your brothers and sisters. He wants you to put feet to your love by meeting the needs of another. He wants you to swallow your pride and put another person above yourself. He wants you to leave your ego at the door and bear someone else’s burden. He wants you to see the other person as a child of your Father and serve that person as you would serve God.

Think of a specific person you can serve, and make arrangements to serve that person in a tangible way today.
